Welcome to The Larger Universe
Two and a half years ago, I started a small Meetup group called Albuquerque UFO/UAP Explorations. Our very first gathering took place in a coffee shop and was attended by a dozen local folks curious about the UFO phenomenon. Since then, ABQ UFOs has grown beyond anything I could have imagined. Together, we’ve hosted more than 75 events - monthly socials, regional guest speakers at local libraries, special in-person talks, and online events exploring both UFOs and the expanding field of consciousness studies.
As many of you have felt, the landscape surrounding the Phenomenon is rapidly changing. Over the past year alone, developments in consciousness research, psychology, physics, and related sciences have invited us to place ufology within a much larger and more meaningful context. Whistleblowers from deep within government and military systems have spoken openly about the use of psionics - the power of mind - to interact with the phenomenon, often with astonishing results. At the same time, mainstream scientists are beginning to question long-held assumptions: Are we merely collections of cells with strictly limited capacities, or might we be nodes within a far larger, interconnected, and intelligent network?
With this expansion in mind, ABQ UFOs is spinning off a new venture - The Larger Universe - a consciousness-centered community devoted to exploring these bigger questions together.
Ancient cave paintings depicting fantastic beings and aerial craft, oral traditions of fairies and dapper little people with extraordinary abilities, stealthy night visitors with penetrating eyes and a penchant for medical procedures, legends of lost civilizations, conversations with spirits, and accurate glimpses of the future - human history, across cultures and millennia, asks us to consider who we are and who keeps company with us. Yet these mysteries exist alongside urgent questions unique to our modern, technological age.
Recent advances in consciousness studies, psychology, parapsychology, and artificial intelligence reveal intricate, spiderweb-like connections between mind and matter, spirituality and philosophy, emerging technologies and ethics, and even the widening gaps within our social structures. We are steamrolling into a new era; one that does not simply revisit “nuts-and-bolts” UFO encounters, but gestures toward the very roots of creation and reality itself.
The Larger Universe is a meeting of minds where all possibilities are welcome. We explore the intersections of consciousness, new science, environmental awareness, social systems, and the unknown: inviting participants not to be passive observers, but active crew members on a shared journey of discovery.
Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, The Larger Universe hosts both in-person and online gatherings. Every voice matters here. No one is asked to sit back and be entertained; instead, all are invited to contribute, question, ponder, and create together.
Membership is free, and everyone - on-planet and off-planet - is welcome.
With love and gratitude,
Birdie
